Our office in Finchley was opened in 1987 and is run by Associate Director, Robert Schaverien, who celebrated 25 years with the company in July 2012. He was brought up within one mile of our office. Due to the success of the business the office was doubled in size in 2007. Today we have one section specialising in residential sales and one in residential lettings. We pride ourselves on being one of the area's most prominent and leading estate agents.
Finchley is a suburb to the north of the North Circular Road. Finchley is one of London`s greenest suburbs, bordering Green Belt, and has golf courses, private & public leisure facilities. The original Finchley village is a conservation area called Village Road and is situated off Hendon Avenue, the area's most prestigious road that originally formed part of the estate of the late Thomas Heal, the only remaining part being the original gate that is now on the corner of Hendon Avenue & Hendon Lane.In the centre of Finchley is Victoria Park that covers seven hectares, and is mainly grassland, playgrounds, tennis courts, ornamental gardens & home to Finchley Bowls Club. The park was awarded a Green Flag Award for 2009 -2010.Finchley is split into four main areas - Finchley Central, North Finchley, West Finchley & East Finchley, covered by postcodes EN4, N2, N3, N12, NW4, NW7, NW9 and NW11. It is bordered by Hendon, Mill Hill, Woodside Park, Totteridge, Hampstead Garden Suburb, Highgate, Muswell Hill & Friern Barnet. Transport to and from Finchley: The area is very accessible with six bus routes including two night buses from Central London to Finchley Central, plus three Underground stations on the Northern Line and numerous day & night buses serving West, North & East Finchley. The network of major roads including the A1, A41 and M1 are all within a short drive. Apart from Finchley, Temple Fortune and Golders Green shopping thoroughfares, Brent Cross shopping centre is within two miles. Education in Finchley: Finchley is within The London Borough of Barnet, which prides itself on having some of the best state and private schools in the country. Both St Marys Primary School & Moss Hall Primary School are two of the top ten Barnet primary schools.
